First up from Zoe, we have a large tag, to which she applied Gesso with oversized bubble wrap. She then applied gelatos, which she spread with her fingers and a wet wipe. She added gold gelato around the edge to look like gilding wax:
Her third project is another tag, incorporating gelatos, and black gesso applied with bubble wrap again. The colours are very zingy in contrast to the dreamy colours of the first tag:
We have two lovely cards from Rachel next. The first card was made using masks and she applied the inks using brushes to create a landscape.
I have made a simple gelli plate background for my card, choosing a small gelli plate, adding Distress Ink to the plate, and pressing bubble wrap onto the plate for texture. I stamped the plate onto the card blank, and then added my chosen image. I coloured the image with pencils, and then also added a sentiment.
Claire has created two very pretty cards, using the Spring Fairy Collection stamp set. She has created a soft washed background, adding the fairies over the top, and giving their wings just a touch of colour.
Penny has created two very diverse cards for us this month. The first, a stunning peacock themed card, was created by stamping the peacock onto black card with Versamark Ink, then dusting the image with mica powders. She die cut the card into a shaped panel, then edged the panel with gold pen before matting and layering. She added a sentiment and some turquoise gemstones.
She created her second card by stamping onto some printed paper from her stash using Versamark and copper embossing powder. She die cut the panel and blended Distress Ink around the edges. She matted and layered the panel onto black card, then edged the panel with a copper pen and attached the panel to a card blank. She stamped the sentiment in copper ink, and added some Stickles for highlights.
Julie has used some of the smaller stamps from the Spring Fairy Collection stamp set to create a kaleidoscope effect design, radiating out from a central circle, and using a simple colour palette of blue and yellow, this is a very effective design:
Magda has used left over pieces from other projects to create her first card. A great way of using up your stash, and cutting down on preparation time as well.
Brenda has been busy making some beautiful cards again for us this month. Her first card was created by cutting one corner of the background with a honeycomb die, then adding the Large Crackle Background stamp. She added the Rose Stem Script stamp, which she coloured with Distress Inks and added some sequins and a ribbon.
Using Pan Pastels, she created a background through an oval mask, then stamped an image from the Spring Bird stamp set. After removing the mask, she stamped and cut out a butterfly from the Just Butterflies stamp set, and coloured the image to coordinate with the background.
For her next card, she stamped an image from the Fantasy Castles stamp set twice, and used Pan Pastels to create some background colour. She then repeat stamped the scroll stamp from the May Fairy stamp set to create a border above and below the focal image, and added a sentiment. from the Echoes of Italy stamp set.
Spring Fairy Collection stamp set and added some colour with pencils. Finally, she stamped a sentiment from the Words of Inspiration stamp set.
She stamped a fairy from the Spring Fairy Collection stamp set and coloured the image with pencils. She then repeat stamped the trees from the Magical Landscape stamp set and used Pan Pastels and a stencil to add the background.
Silhouette Grasses stamp set. She drew some birds by hand, aded liquid pearls, and added a sentiment from the Words to Dazzle and Sparkle stamp set.
Silhouette Grasses stamp set in two colours of Distress Ink. She removed the mask, and stamped a sentiment from the Words to Dazzle and Sparkle stamp set.
Anne, her first card, is a lovely Thank You card, using one of the pretty floral images from the Spring Fairy Collection.
Big Bold Background on her gelli print is a lovely idea:
